Junior News Season 2009 (No.1 – 26 February) 

Welcome to the first newsletter of 2009.   

We would like to welcome all Players & Parents to the 2009 season. We hope that everyone is rested and ready to commence a new and challenging time ahead. 

Our first Training will commence this Wednesday 4^th March 2009. Anybody wishing to bring a registration form and money can do so at training and pass it to Vicki. Talk to friends and school mates and bring them along to Training this Wednesday – the more the merrier.  There will also be a “Come and Try Day” on March 15 for interested Girls to give Hockey a go.

Juniors playing Seniors             $17 for 2 games / week  

GROUND RENOVATION

The replacement of the surface on the Second Playing field (ESS 2) has commenced. This is an excellent development and will ensure that we will have two quality playing surfaces for the 2009 Season.   

UPCOMING EVENTS

The following events are being held at the State Netball & Hockey Centre:

·        March 7 – 9             U18 State Championships

·        March 21 & 22        VICSTIX Interzone Weekend 

These are great opportunities to watch Juniors play excellent Hockey.  

TRAINING DETAILS

Junior Girls train each Wednesday night at the Essendon Hockey ground.

U13            4:45pm to 6pm

U15            5:45pm to 7pm

U17            5:45pm to 7pm

Please bring a water bottle as hydration is very important at this time of the year. Mouth guards and shin-pads are compulsory for all training sessions and matches throughout the season.
